Holy Communion

Picture
Holy Communion was central to the worship of the earliest church.
We celebrate communion on the third Sunday of each month, gathering around Jesus' table of healing and hope, sharing the bread and cup, so we may be strengthened in our journey of faith as Jesus' disciples.

Following Jesus' example of radical hospitality, everyone is welcome to come forward to the table to receive the bread and cup - children, adults, newcomers, and questioners!  All  are welcome at Jesus' table of Life!

Our minister will offer you a piece of bread, and the communion assistant will offer you a small cup.

Currently, due to COVID-19 we will be having a virtual holy communion.
How can you participate in the new virtual holy communion? If you are able to, find a drink, a piece of bread or whatever you have available to represent sharing the bread and cup. When the time comes, together, we all have a sip of our drink and a piece of our bread.

In sharing this meal we believe that the Risen Jesus is present with us, strengthening our faith, embracing us in love, and empowering us to be Jesus disciples as we share God's love and justice in our world.
