The Sacrament of Baptism

Picture
Baptism is the sacrament of initiation for the Christian church, which celebrates our membership in the global body of Christ.

Christians can be baptized as children, or as youth or as adults - there is no 'right' time to experience this gift!

Baptism is a sign - pointing us toward God's unconditional love and embrace of us all - our belief that God is with us through all of our lives!

Baptism is a 'call' or a 'way of life'  - an invitation to follow daily as disciples (or students) of Jesus, seeking to embody God's love and forgiveness, peace and reconciliation in our fragmented world.

If you would like to receive baptism for yourself or for your child,

please contact our minister at 416 782 4175.
We would be delighted to support you in these next steps on your faith journey.

Some helpful resources about baptism:

"Water Washed and Spirit Born: A Baptism Manual for Youth and Adults"  by Daniel Erlander.
This is a very creative, readable & insightful resource about baptism from a Protestant perspective.
You can purchase it online at:  Augsburg Fortress Canada.
